It’s the first day of my Christmas break from teaching. So as tradition declares, it’s my day to make the easiest fudge recipe ever- and it’s so good!

Thanks to Rachael Ray for this wonderful treat!

The turkey corn chili on this page is also wonderful. I make a big bowl of it every year to give my dad for Christmas!

Birthday party supplies

Birthday party suppliesIs your child having a birthday party? Be prepared with the birthday party supplies you will need to have that perfect party.  Plan the perfect party for him by following these tips:

1. Find the perfect theme. Try to pattern it after your child’ interests or hobbies. Does he like sports? Racecars? Harry Potter? If he likes Sponge Bob, for example, make it a Bikini Bottom party! Figure it out and follow from there.
2. Make your invites interesting by incorporating your party’s theme.
3. Make sure you have fun games and big prizes for the winners.
4. Make your food easy to eat, and if possible, mess free. You will thank yourself when cleanup time comes.
5. What’s a party without music? Ask your son about what CDs to play to provide the right atmosphere.
6. Prepare a few extra loot bags for surprise guests. That way everybody will be able to bring something home.

Fall home décor

Fall home décor

Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons for me. I love it when the leaves turn rustic brown and carpet the streets. I also love the colors of pumpkin stands that line the roadsides in our areas. The climate is also agreeable.

That is why I decided to bring fall into our house. We hired an interior designer to include a fall home décor theme to our current interior look, which she executed perfectly. I now find our home to be beautiful and relaxing.  Friends who come over are impressed with our home’s refurbished look.
